# The Floating Action Button Block: Every Way To Reach You, In One Corner

One button pinned to the corner of the page, every way to reach you behind it — set up in the editor by the people who own the site.

## The widget every client asks for after launch

You hand a site over, and within a week the requests start. Can we put the phone number in the corner? Can we add Zalo? Can it not cover the hero? Each one becomes another snippet in the child theme and another fixed-position rule that behaves on one page and collides on the next. Across every site you look after, that is a dozen slightly different floating buttons.

The Floating Action Button block puts that widget in the editor instead. Pick a corner, list the ways people can reach you, and it builds the links. When the number changes, the site owner changes it.

**Pinned to the corner as you read.** The button in the bottom-right of this page is the block itself — open it, scroll, and it stays exactly where it is.

## What you actually set up

**Pick the action, not the URL** — hotline, Zalo, Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS, email, directions, a link, back-to-top or opening a Modal block. Type the number or username and the link is built for you.

**Arrive with the message half-written** — the WhatsApp, SMS and email actions carry a prefilled message and subject, so the visitor only has to hit send.

**Any corner, three ways to open** — four screen corners, unfolding vertically, horizontally or as a compact fan, on click or on hover.

**Stay out of the way** — hold it back until the visitor has scrolled past the hero, fold it shut after a quiet moment, and let them dismiss it.

**Show whether you are open** — a dot on the button reads a weekly schedule in your own timezone, holidays included, so nobody phones a closed shop.

Plus the usual spacing, colour and responsive controls, so it matches your design instead of fighting it.

## Finished, not just featureful

A floating widget shows up on every page of a site, so the details matter more than usual. The styling is worked out when you save the page, not in the visitor’s browser.

The closed list is properly closed — keyboard tabbing and screen readers skip it until it opens, and Escape shuts it and puts focus back on the button.

The attention pulse and the one-after-another reveal stand still for visitors who ask for reduced motion.

Every colour — the button, the icons, the labels — has a light and a dark counterpart.

Button size, icon size and the distance from the screen edge are set per breakpoint, so a comfortable thumb target on a phone isn’t a huge one on a desktop.

## About a minute to set up

Drop the block in, add an action, type the number, pick the corner. The editor shows the button where it will really sit, and the sidebar has plain controls for size, spacing and colour. No CSS, no shortcode, nothing to hand over on a sticky note.

**Works with what you already have.** It lives in the same editor as the rest of your layout and shares the same spacing, colour and responsive controls. It needs the Flexa Block plugin switched on alongside it.

## Put your contact details where people look
